NARS Callisto, Desdemona, and Subra Dual Intensity Eyeshadows: Swatches and Review

NARS has a "new" eyeshadow hybrid on the market. I use quotes with the word new, because it seems that everyone is putting out these cream/ powder hybrid products lately. That is great news for me, as I am having fun trying them all!

MNRS Dual Intensity shadows are powders that feel like a cream. They can be used both wet and dry.

I think the little squares are adorable, but I loathe the rubber packaging that gets dirty instantly.

Callisto is an icy pink tinged white. Desdemona is a deep burgundy with purple shimmer. Subra is a deep reddish brown.

Callisto is not my favorite. It tends to look too glittery, even when used dry. I do experience fallout, and when used wet, it becomes too metallic for my taste.

Desdemona goes on smoothly and builds up easily. It is a very unique color.

MAC Stylishly Merry is more fuchsia. Tom Ford Burnished Amber is lighter and redder.

Subra is pretty, and works most excellently as a liner when used wet. It is not a new color for me though.

MAC Round Midnight and Chanel Magic Night are both exact dupes of Subra.

Overall, I have mixed feeling about NARS Dual Intensity shadows. I like Desdemona and Subra, but Callisto was far too glittery for me. I will wait and see the rest in person before ordering any more. I would love to see how Phoebe and Dione perform in person.

Lorac Pro 2 Palette: Swatches and Comparison

My brain advised me to skip Lorac Pro 2, but curiosity got the best of me. I use the first Pro Palette occasionally, but I am not ever blown away by it. It is nice to have, though not a must have for me.

I haven't played with Pro 2 enough to give a decent review, but I thought I would share some swatches for now. It does swatch incredibly smoothly, and the shadows are very pigmented.

Pro 2 is a dark gray. It has the same layout as the first palette- a row of matte colors and a row of shimmers.

Pro 2 is supposed to be cooler toned than Pro 1.

For swatches, Pro 2 is on the top and Pro 1 is on the bottom.
Pro 2 mattes on the top, and Pro 1 mattes on the bottom.

Pro 2 shimmers on the top, and Pro 1 shimmers on the bottom.

I am still not crazy about the colors they chose for this palette. Some are great and unique, but many seem very similar to the first palette. The quality is excellent, but time will tell how useful this palette proves to be.

Chanel Intime and Confident Rouge Coco Shines: Swatches and Review

I am a MLBB (my lips but better) addict, and Chanel Fall pulled me in quickly.

Intime and Confident are both perfect examples of lip colors I like to use daily.

Intime is light cool toned pink. Confident is a medium brownish pink.

Both colors are slightly sheer, so a few swipes are needed for noticeable color. They make my lips look full and shiny without settling into lines or looking patchy.

Swatch evidence of my MLBB addiction:

Confident is browner than Monte Carlo and Pinky Nude Saint. Intime is more pink than Dior Incognito and Gri Gri. It is also pinker than Satisfaction.
Here is Confident on the lips:
And Intime:

Both colors have quickly made it into my regular rotation. I think it they are very versatile, and both are great additions to my MLBB lip wardrobe.

Chanel Admiration, Palpitation, and Hesitation Ombre Essentielle Eyeshadows

The original item I had to get from Chanel Fall was an eyeshadow. I love the single eye shadows when they are done well, and these do not disappoint.

Admiration is a golden yellow with sparkle. This was a bit tricky to apply dry, as it is more powdery due to the sparkles. The sparkles adhere nicely when I use this one wet.
Palpitation is a matte dusty pink. This eyeshadow is very smooth. It makes a great transition shade when paired with Hesitation.
Hesitation is a warm brownish purple with a slight sheen. It is a lovely crease shade that requires almost no blending. This is my favorite of the bunch, and a shade I will wear frequently.

I really don't have any yellows to compare Admiration to, but purplish brown shades are my thing.
Limit is much cooler and lighter than Palpitation. Nooner is browner than Hesitiation. Berry- Rose is close, but matte and more brown as well. Chanel Seduction has more shimmer, and Magic Night is much deeper.

I am loving these shades together for a fun summer look. If I had to pick one, Hesitation is an absolute favorite!
