Becca Guava Beach Tint Swatches and Review

Becca has a new Beach Tint out with their summer collection this year. Guava is described as a fresh coral pink shade.

I already love Beach Tints, and I couldn't wait to try this new color. My original review is here.

Guava has a light fruity scent that fades quickly. On me it is mostly light pink with a slight coral warmth.

This makes for a lovely pink cheek color. It is long wearing and very easy to apply and blend. I will be using Guava a lot this summer!

Samples, Gift with Purchases, and Eye Love Too Faced Palette Swatches

I love cute tiny makeup! It is a great way to try new things and a nice incentive when making a purchase.

Bobbi Brown has had some great Gift with Purchases this year. I absolutely love the mini palettes, and I may purchase a full sized makeup remover when I finish this travel size.

This is a great palette from Too Faced. You can get the palette and a mini Shadow Insurance when you redeem your points (i.e. spend way too much money) at Sephora. Hey, if I am spending it anyway, I am glad to get something useful in return.

Here is the palette next to my other Too Faced palettes.

Inside are two shadows from each Too Faced Palette- they have four palettes total.

I love the colors included. The ones from the palettes I already have are some of my favorites, and I like the colors I don't have as well. I can see this palette being quite useful, especially for a neutral loving girl like myself.

Finally a gift worth turning in my points for at Sephora!

Rouge Bunny Rouge Orpheline Blush Swatches and Review

The second Rouge Bunny Rouge blush I indulged in is called Orpheline. I reviewed Gracilis *here*.

Same pretty and sleek packaging.

Orpheline is a warm strawberry pink. It appears bright in the pan, but it is sheer and buildable.

I don't have anything quite similar to compare, although I think it is very close to Illamasqua Hussy.

It is warm compared to my bright pink colors. Even MAC Hipness looks cooler toned.

Orpheline is a great everyday pink color with a natural subtle shimmer. This is the same high quality I experienced from Gracilis- smooth and long lasting. I am loving my Rouge Bunny Rouge blushes.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Gracilis Blush Swatches and Review

Actually the full name would be "Rouge Bunny Rouge- Original Skin Blush- For Love of Roses- Gracilis".

Rouge Bunny Rouge is a Russian based brand which is inspired by Victorian fairy tales. They can be hard to come by, but I have had success in ordering from Zuneta.com. Zuneta offers promotions fairly often and ships worldwide.

Back to the blush.......

This is the front and back of the box. I love the fantastic packaging and illustrations. Every detail seems to be thought out well and tied into the fairy tale theme.

The actual compact is sleek, round, and very slim.

Here it is compared to a Rock & Republic blush, which is very bulky. The Rouge Bunny Rouge compact is smaller than a MAC blush as well.

I started by trying Orpheline and Gracilis since I felt they would be useful and fairly unique in my collection of blush.

The flowers are also embossed on the surface of the blush.

Gracilis is a light mauve pink with very subtle shimmer. It has just enough shimmer to keep it from being matte, but not enough to really show on the cheeks. It gives a very natural light pink flush. It is easily to build color, and I didn't have to worry about looking overdone.

How does it compare to my other pinks?

Pretty, natural, slightly dusty pink. It is a color that will look good with a wide range of looks, and the quality is amazing. It is soft in texture and lasted all day. I love Gracilis!

Dior Aurora Bronzer Swatches and Review

Dior is a relatively new brand for me, but I have enjoyed my discoveries.

I ordered the new Aurora Summer Bronzer when they had a promotion for free gift wrap and 2nd day shipping. It was fun to open a little present to myself!

The bronzer comes in a velvet pouch with a tiny pocket for the brush.

It has a gorgeous silver mirrored finish.

I am a sucker for Dior's elegant packaging and quilted powders.

The bronzer is made up of peach, beige, and golden colors placed to look like a basket weave. There is a slight shimmer on some of the pieces.

This gives a very natural peach bronzed look. It is nearly impossible to overdo even on my pale skin.

This is heavy on the left and blended outwards toward the right. I used it on the cheeks and all over in this FOTD.

I highly recommend Dior Aurora for the summer. It is perfect for pale skin or for those new to bronzer. It is also quite gorgeous to look at!

Baby is here!

I wanted to let you know that Baby David Cameron is here. He was 7 pounds 9 ounces and arrived on Wednesday morning. We are doing well and happy to be back home!

I have plenty of posts scheduled to go for the next month, although Blogger has been having issues lately. Hopefully they will all post without problems. After that, I am planning on having Tarte Blush Week, reviewing Chanel Extrait de Gloss, and posting looks and swatches of my new Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadows!

Right now I am enjoying snuggling my new baby and lounging in my pajamas with the family :)

NARS Melusine Eyeshadow Duo Swatches and Review

This NARS Duo came out for Holiday 2010, so I am a bit late to the party. Better late than never, right?

Melusine is a lavender-tinged silver shimmer and a warm purple matte. The silver has a pinkish flash which was nearly impossible to capture.

The silver is buttery smooth and highly pigmented. The purple is much sheerer and can be a pain to blend. It is workable though, and it looks gorgeous with the silver.

Here are some comparisons. I don't have anything quite like the silver, but you can see the slight warmth when it is swatched next to a true blue silver color.

The purple is nearly identical to MAC Fig. 1.

I definitely think the silver makes it worth owning this duo alone. NARS eyeshadows can be hit and miss, but this duo is a hit for me!

NARS Mayflower Swatches and Review

I love NARS lipsticks and have acquired a couple more for spring. I find the formula to be smooth, light, and sheer.

I enjoy the light herbal scent they have as well. Little Darling is on the left and Mayflower is on the right.

As always, NARS packaging is sleek and minimal.

Mayflower is a warm strawberry pink with barely noticeable silver shimmer. It is very sheer and natural. I can see this color going with a wide range of looks.

If you are looking for a sheer natural pink lip color this spring, NARS Mayflower might be for you!
