The new curtain arrangement my son has come up with really lets in more light.

No dogs reside in our home at the moment. Zoey the German Shepherd was hit by a car awhile back, and we haven't had the time to devote to training a puppy recently. We do still have animals though.....
Mabel is a Jersey milk cow. She is still young, but the plan is to breed her next year. She lives with the goats most of the time.
We have four dairy goats- one male named Bill, and three females- Wendy, Jessica, and Fern. The girls should be pregnant right now, so we might be trying our hand at milking sometime this spring.
Bill never got his horns properly removed, but they are kind of cute. Or something.......
Sometimes I can hear Mabel the cow sigh as she returns to the goat pen- these idiots again? I think she secretly enjoys the company though.
Chickens will be coming in spring. We had them at our old house, but had not gotten things set here until now.
Lastly we have sweet Outside Kitty. We don't know her story, but she was at this house when we got here and never left. She loves to eat moles, lizards, birds, and any household leftovers.

Thank goodness the newest NARS blush has a name that I don't mind repeating. Gaiety is a vivid light blue toned pink that is completely matte.
Most of Gaiety's friends look almost peach in comparison.
Illamasqua Katie is much lighter in hue, Spank has a warmer tone, and Rose Tourbillon is deeper and warmer- more of a berry pink.
Gaiety gives a beautiful pink flush, brightening my winter complexion. I was able to use a regular blush brush and easily build color without creating scary clown cheeks.
NARS Gaiety will be a regular in my pink blush rotation this year!

I was out running errands on Friday- getting the baby's ears checked, dropping off taxes, and grocery shopping. Somehow my route took me near Macy's and inside to have a closer look at Lancôme's latest lipstick offering.
Rouge in Love promises 6 hour wear, feather light color, and a face like Emma Watson. Well, maybe not that last one, but she does make an awfully cute model for the brand.
I predictably chose a pink and a peach color to begin. Both have the word sweet in the title........how sweet.
The case is a matte silver with red and polished silver accents. It is small, sleek, and cute without being tacky.
The back is decorated in a lace pattern, oh la la!
The top color is Ever So Sweet, and the bottom is Sweet Embrace.
Sweet Embrace is a light mauve pink. Ever So Sweet is a fresh coral orange. The texture is definitely soft, but not overly glossy. They have enough shine to keep from being classified as matte, but they aren't like the new breed of shine lipsticks most brands are releasing. They have great pigment in one swipe, and they are weightless on the lips.
My closest comparisons weren't really that close, but maybe they can help you anyway. I am impressed with Rouge in Love and plan to try more shades. Flattering colors, soft texture without shimmer, and sweet packaging!
Speaking of sweet, check out the Gift with Purchase at Macy's right now. Spend $35 and you get a choice of lip products, moisturizer, and eye products. The bag also came in hot pink with a black ribbon, and my SA threw in the cute lip keychain I used in the above photos.

Dear Readers of Planet Martha,
Please excuse our mother's recent absence from blogging, and from normal daily chores such as showering and having a brain. We have been sick lately, especially the little one. David appears cute, but he is really full of diseases. Anyway, he seems to be on the mend as of this week and might avoid ear tubes this winter! Okay, maybe we are being optimistic there.
Our mom hasn't been purchasing much makeup-y girl stuff lately. We wish she would stop buying all that makeup and invest in something more sound......like Legos! We think Planet Legos has a nice ring to it.
Love, The Boys
